Veronica Roth’s “Allegiant” U.K. Cover Creates Buzz over Design

After revealing the international book cover of Veronica Roth’s third and final book of The Divergent Trilogy, Allegiant, United Kingdom also has something to offer for Divergent fanatics; it has unveiled its own book cover design!

Quite similar but not? Water element is all over the cover aside from taking in the blue colour background to make it more dominant. In fact, the U.K. cover design looks more desolate and  uncertain unlike the international cover where strong colours were used. There is so much going on with the themes that even the tagline “She must make her final choice…” becomes intriguing to excited readers. Moreover, the feathers in the cover may even convey freedom or even freewill. What do you think guys?

Allegiant will be out on shelves on October 22, 2013.

Allegiant Cover Sets the Fandom by Storm! Débuts at Today Show

Divergent Fandom went wild and the #Allegiantcover trended over the Internet as the cover art of the third and final book of The Divergent Trilogy, Allegiant, was unveiled! The cover debuted on the Today Show with the author, herself, Veronica Roth. She was interviewed by Ryan Seacrest! Looking at the cover, the element of water is dominant and the tag line, “One choice will define you” is an eye-catching phrase for the entire finale.

The author also shared bits of her life while making her first trilogy during her interview. According to Miss V, their family has a house rule that says: “Boredom is not allowed”. This was how everything started with the author’s love for writing. Her mother did not tolerate boredom in their home and advised to find some interesting things to do. At last, she utilized her talent to make something productive and kill boredom. The Divergent Series was her first ever trilogy. Thinking about what she did when she got her first book deal? Miss V got into a tub of mini marshmallows and bathed her way of the sweets! That was so cute!

Summit starts the ball rolling for Divergent Sequel, “Insurgent”. Get to know the Screenwriter!

Even before Divergent starts hitting the big-screen on 2014, Summit Entertainment is already planning on Veronica Roth’s second book on The Divergent Trilogy, Insurgent. According to Deadline, Summit asked Brian Duffield to write the script of the sequel.  Doug Wick and Lucy Fisher will still spearhead the production of the film through Red Wagon Entertainment banner. This is alongside with Pouya Shahbazian.

Duffield, repped by Gersh and Circle of Confusion, also penned Jane Got a Gun. Starring Natalie Portman, Joel Edgerton, Noah Emmerich and Ewan McGregor, the film is based on Western story and currently under works and directed by Gavin O’Connor.

Divergent fans are all excited to hear that there really is a movie-trilogy plans by Summit Entertainment. In fact, if Divergent ends well in theatres on 2014, the sequel is expected to be released spring of the following year after Divergent. Starring Shailene Woodley as Tris and Theo James as Four, the two lives intertwined by fate, takes on a journey towards finding the truth of the society they chose to be.

The cover of the third and final book, “Allegiant” will be unveiled on NBC’s Today Show, on Thursday, May 9, 2013. So watch as it happens!
